A 5th podium in 6 races. This is yet another proof of the consistency of our crew at the wheel of the No. 64 Ligier JS2R racing in the TTE Pirelli Series.
A weekend that looked to be complicated with a weather typical of the European jewel that is the Spa-Francorchamps circuit: unpredictable rain.
But it didn't matter, the Extreme Limite team and its drivers did not let themselves be impressed and met the rain and the legendary track head-on. The result: times already at the top of the rankings in the practice sessions on a wet and tricky track.
The start of the race was on a drying track but still wet and very slippery, and Marc and his teammate Benjamin held on to stay both on track and within the lead group's times.
It was during Benjamin's first stint that the decision was made to switch to dry weather tires, and therefore a higher pace on the track.
From there, our two drivers fought between the traffic and the demanding track to get back on the podium, before being caught by a major opponent: chance.
Sadly, a safety car came out just after a pit stop which could have been "free", and resulted in a large amount of time lost for our crew, while giving an advantage to our direct adversaries.
However, we must not forget that it was a great first race at Spa-Francorchamps for this No. 64 Ligier and its drivers on this incredible circuit, and that they did not give up despite constantly changing track conditions in a very heavy traffic.
We thank our partner Extreme Limite for the excellent work that was done on our car, which once again offered a very good result to this top pairing. The data and feedback from the drivers bodes very well for the last ride of the season coming up...
What now? There is still one last battle remaining, during the final of the TTE Pirelli Series at Le Mans, on November 10 and 11, 2023. The team and drivers will be determined to leave with the 1st place in the championship and category, and will give their maximum until the last lap of the last race.
To be continued...
